i've been meaning to write a post of how pathetic the innovation in rc control is. this is a pretty perfect example. this servo design is much, much more advanced than anything out there and it is actually incredibly simple.
btw. what led me to search and find the openservo today was my failure at reading back the pot value. i had hoped that i could just add another wire to each servo and read the pot against ground. works find when no power is applied. apply power.. nope. ok crap. what about another wire against one of the other pot pins. nope. ok crap. my guess is that the meter is adding some extra resistance to the circuit and messing with the reading, but i have no clue on what to do to fix it. my knowledge of electronics is about the same as what you would get from reading a cereal box.
