1. An unbeliever with respect to a particular religion, especially Christianity or Islam.
2. One who has no religious beliefs.
3. One who doubts or rejects a particular doctrine, system, or principle.

this is one of those words you (meaning me) hear from time to time (like in indiana jones), but don't actually know the definition for.
it sounds worse than 'heathen.' why it 'sounds worse' i have no clue. maybe it's just a fact of growing up in the usa and the context it is used with.
anyway.. i am not an atheist or and agnostic.. i am an #2 infidel! that is just so awesome.
it's good to have a true religious label.
