Heli lifestyle

The other day I told Janel that I was thinking of selling all of my helicopters. I felt like I just did not have the time to fly them.

I have Turing from noon until 6:45pm most days. He takes a nap at about 3pm, but the most I can fly is in the neighbors driveway, otherwise I won't be able to hear if he wakes up.

So that leaves from 6:45pm until it gets dark. It gets dark at 8pm-ish. Woopty do, a hole hour. Now factor out for when my helis are not operational and the wind is blowing and I can fly them...

Pretty much never.

Now, I could get up early, but the odds of that are pretty slim considering I go to bed at 4 or 5 and I need my beauty rest. Turing has also been a punk at night lately and I've been spending about 2 hours a night putting him back to sleep.

Oh.. Poor baby Billy.

Man. As usual I need to move to a planet with longer days.

Anyway, back to the heli lifestyle. I do get to fly and I do enjoy it. I end up spending about an hour a day tinkering plus I'm quite the regular now on rcgroups.

I wish that I could fly more, but it just ain't going to happen. I'm pretty good at dealing with waiting for parts now. I just need to get pretty good at waiting to fly. It's super frustrating to walk by the park when the wind is perfect and know that even though my helis are in flying shape, that I can't fly right now.

So.. I'm not going to sell all my helis. I'm just going to sell some of them, but they'll probably soon be replaced by others.

And that's OK. Hey.. My birthday is coming up!
