FMADirect Cellpro 4S balancing Lipo charger

Update...... Well, I placed my order on Tuesday afternoon, but I just cancelled it. Today I got an email saying that everything was in stock and will be shipped on Friday. (Doesn't sound like it's in stock to me.) That's stupid and annoying, but whatever. It continued on to say that the 'website did not add correctly' and here is your new price. WTF!

I mailed cancelling my order and I got a lovely rude response back. If these guys can't handle a simple order correctly, then what happens if I have a problem with the charger and have to deal with support? I'd rather not deal with a company like that.

My stupid esky chargers make me nervous. Especially since I learned that they are not even balancing chargers. They just charge until any cell reaches 4.2 volts and then turn off. Lame.

Since my birthday is coming up I decided that I was going to buy a real lipoly balancing charger. The problem has been then I found it difficult to bring myself to spend 60 bucks on some low tech charger that really should only cost $15.

The Cellpro 4S is not high-tech or anything, but at least they are freak'n trying.

So I am going to spend more money than I normal lywould (birthday), why not spend even more?

I'm also getting the PC interface for $20. From searching around it is just a TTL level converter worth about $3 to make, but honestly I really don't feel like messing with that crap.

The other thing I am going to buy from them is a 60amp shunt (this is definitely something I've been needing) for $15. This is worth about 10 cents of parts minus connectors.. However, it's those overpriced Deans connectors that'll get you. Anway, again too lazy to build myself.

I have a wanted ad for the charger up on rcgroups and if I don't hear something tomorrow I'm going to fire away with it.

The funny thing is that I could buy an entire barebones heli for this much money. Remember though.. I'm pruning the fleet!

Oh.. So the one thing that I am not going to be lazy about is "reverse engineer" their viewer program. I really, really, really, like the idea of graphing my charge on the PC, but geez.. Their software is pathetic.
