I should of posted this a long time ago. It's when I tried to loop my CP2. I'm such a dumbass. I forgot to put it in idle-up so when I pulled the throttle back to get negative pitch, all I got was no throttle and it dropped like a rock. I totally had it too. Stupid.
Joel did a really good job with the camera. Too bad I could get mencoder to do a good job with the flv conversion.
I don't remember the exact damage, but it was very minor except for smashing the canopy. Very impressive for falling 30 feet. I'm still on my first blades amazing enough btw.
Just before this flight my new transmitter arrived so I switched over to that and got the CP2 flying again with it. I didn't order a new canopy because I got it in my head that I was going to make my own. A good skill to have, especially if you want to make your own storm trooper costume. I built a little vacuum-forming table and have had more success tripping the circuit breakers then making anything good. Apparently shopvac + heat gun > 15 amps. I'm getting better though. I think my next attempt will be successful. I just need to find a decent source of light plastic.
