i got one at meltdown awhile back. at that time there was no driver so it was useless. now that the thing is released i went looking for a driver. i went to the microsoft site, found the x64 driver and installed it.. the install failed. crap. maybe they are different..
now.. that was old school thinking. going and looking for a driver manually.. that is crazy.
i plugged in the joystick. it popped up the 'looking for driver' wizard and asked if it could look online for it. i said ok.
HOLY SHIT. IT FOUND THE DRIVER AND INSTALLED IT LIKE MAGIC.
maybe in 10 years or so the computer experience might be to the point of not sucking anymore. well.. maybe 20.
ok. let's test this thing. i ran the samplebrowser from the october directx sdk. it has an app called 'Rumble Controller'. it uses the trigger buttons to analog control the rumble for each of the motors.
holy porn games for girls batman!! forget using casual games to get women buying games. this controller is totally designed as freak'n vibrator! the shape would work and the two variable speed motors with different counter-weights. awesomeness.
