I was looking for some old code in my backups. While at it I decided to see how long the gamebasis codebase has existed. Turns out it is two years old this month. Crazy. A good chunk of that time was researching physics or ShapeManiac crap, or just a general lack of direction. It is nice to have at least some direction with an actual goal/business plan now. A metric I like to keep in my head is how long it would take to write something from scratch. If I was to write this code from scratch it would take at least 4 months. I guess that gives it a hindsight and experience efficiency factor of.. 1/6th. Not sure what a good number would be.
