it would just be so awesome for this to come true.

you have a robot animal (a dog or something). it needs to have energy. you have a food bowl with little batteries in it. it "eats" the batteries to get the energy. when the batteries are dead, it "poops" or "vomits" them back into the bowl (or "litter box" or something) to be recharged.
