joystick keyboard

last night while/because not being able to sleep i was thinking about alternate keyboards. one of the thoughts was.. hey.. you could just have two 8-way joysticks to encode 64 keys.

haha.. they totally missed to super cool factor here.. in the future you use two shift levers with chrome skull tops to control your space ship. maybe i should make this!

btw. of course this is patented cuz nobody else could think of such a thing.

the other idea i had was to have little switches on your finger tips (not thumb) and two additional switches on the side of each index finger. you use your thumb to close a switch on each hand. 6 switches on each hand gives you 36 keys. of course putting switches on your fingers is lame though, but i think you could type pretty fast.
