man.. i sure hope they tone done the permissions bullshit a bit. everytime you try and do anything it tells you..

ok.. i guess that is one (lazy) way to secure an operating system against remote access and stupid users, but.. IT IS INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. i am the administrator. how do i turn this off. worse.. i do at least 50% of my work in a shell and it doesn't know about all this crazy stuff. it just says.. access denied. oh.. how informative. now i get to pop into windows, hit a bunch of stupid buttons, and hop back into my shell. LAME!

vista is in beta, but hopefully they'll tone it down a bit for launch. time to submit another beta report.
