this dude raised $13,854 in donatations for his contest of.. figure out how to dual-boot with xp on the intel mac. it took less than a month to get to that amount and for the content to be won.
i hope stuff like this encourages other challenges backed by donation prizes. maybe even paypal or google will get in on the action and build more legit setups. ie.. the challenger sets up the system and upon a challenge failure (ran out of time or something) the prize is automatically donated to whatever charity or charged back to the people who donated (minus some small fee).
