i've been making some good progress lately on the robot. i've got 2 8-channel servo controllers hooked together. a servo can draw up an amp (holy crap) under stress. i fear that 8 amps is too much for the tiny servo controller (they even say in the spec). i decided to split the power. each servo controller has 3 power inputs. 2 banks of 4 servos each get a jack and the controller itselfs gets its own jack.

wire management turned out to be a big pain. i am mostly happy with the current solution. all the servos can move their full range without snagging. i used zip ties and little hair rubber bands. the eventual plan will be to probably embed the wires directly into its clothing or skin.
