i finally touched the atlantic

took me freak'n long enough, though it does not count because i used my finger instead of my feet (i forgot to bring my jandals.)

i was really not looking forward to the trip because it was an entire week. i figured i would spend the entire time just watching tv. it didn't turn out that way and overall it was a good trip minus the whole traveling part. damn united is a terrible airline now. i guess when you cut everyone's pay by 40% they'll just leave and you'll be force to replace them with mostly incompetent 19yo's.

when we arrived in NC we had some hours to kill, so we went for a visit to the unc chapel hill campus.. of all the universities, this is the only one that i had ever considered as a place i wanted to go (back in its hayday at least). not a bad campus and seems like there is a good vibe there.

after the campus looksy we went to meet up with cliffy at the new epic offices. holy shit. tim had shown me a few in-construction photos at e3 last year, but damn.. these are some pretty pimp'n offices. the motion capture studio is just crazy! anyway, it was really good to hang out with cliffy and chat with tim for awhile. it's good for me to hang out with the gamedever kids from time to time.

one thing that did not play out was my big plan to video me and tim going to the burger king drive-thru in his freak'n diablo. that would of been sweet! haha. next time!

after that we went to see the grandfolks/uncle 2 hours south of raleigh for a day and then onto the beach house of a couple of days. mostly just hangin' out, playing board games.. it was pretty nice. anyway.. let me just say this..

i am the worst settlers player on the planet. i have played the game at least 20 times over the years and have NEVER won EVAR. even the new player this time managed to win. geez.

whoa.. this entry is like your typical livejournal entry.. and here is what i did today. blah. blah. lame.

btw. i owe a bunch of people email. yeah. yeah.. i'll get on that.
