Channel A

I'm surprised that channels were numbered originally? Why not alphabetical? Often when new technology comes out you have people under estimating the impact it will have.

"I think there is a world market for about five computers" as the famous Watson misquote goes.

I'm sure people could of thought.. I can't imagine more than 26 channels. I mean, how many channels can you have. Channel A. Channel B. Maybe to Channel Z, but no more, no way.

Of course there is a solution. HEX! Yes dear.. Our new cable box has FF channels!
