ML-1740 toner refill
A few years back I bought a laser printer. A Samsung ML-1740. I think after rebates ( back when I used such disgusting things ) it ended up costing either $40 or $70. The big catch was that it only came with a 50% filled toner cartridge.
Last week I needed to print out some very dark camera tracking markers. Considering that our tonor has been pretty much run out for months.. It didn't go to well. I decided to see what all the fuss was about with tonor refills. I went to ebay and typed in ML-1740 toner refill. Bam.. $15 shipped and I get 3 bottles. A few days later I have my bottles.
I had figured that Samsung would make it a hassle to refill, but apparently not. You just pop a cap off the side and fill it up. It took 3 minutes.
It actually worked. Crazy.
Apparently you can only refill it twice because there is some sort of contaminant collection area that gets filled up, but still. WAY WAY cheaper than buying a new cartridge.
